Chip Timing for Junior Triathlon
Excitingly, we have upgraded the timing system for our Junior Triathlon.
New Sprint Tri 5km Run Course
To those of you that have raced Harwich Sprint Triathlon before, you may be pleased to hear that we have made some changes to the 5k run route. We hope you will enjoy racing on the new course.
New Junior Race Categories
We have now split the Junior Triathlon into three age categories. Under 9s; 9 - 12-year-olds and 13-15-year-olds.
New Olympic Race
Yup - you’ve seen it right! We are bringing an Olympic Triathlon with a sea swim to this year’s Harwich Tri WEEKEND!
With the excitement of racing spread over two days, we are thrilled to be able to offer another race to the repertoire, taking place on Saturday 7th June.
With a 1.5k sea swim in Dovercourt Bay, a 40k cycle through the countryside and a 10k run along the promenade, this Olympic race brings something for those athletes wanting to test their endurance a little bit more than our Sprint Triathlon. Although - with them being on two separate days, there’s nothing stopping you entering both!
We are also offering a team relay option for our Olympic Triathlon. So why not get together a group of friends and enjoy the team spirit of competing one leg each. Medals will be awarded to the whole team, and you’ll be able to cross the finish line together.
With only 120 spaces for individual participants, and 30 spaces for relay teams, don’t delay in signing up for the newest addition to the Harwich Triathlon Weekend.

For results pre-dating 2024, please go back to the Harwich Runners website and look under the Triathlon tab. Results are available back dated to 2014 over on there.
